Staib Mesh Bracelets

THE HERMANN STAIB STORY

Two cost options … both excellent quality …

Premium German bracelet

Meticulously machined and finished in Germany using quality grade stainless steel.

Specialized Weaving: The Milanese mesh is woven on custom-built automatic machines using stainless steel wire ranging from 0.20 mm to 2 mm in thickness.

Thermal Annealing: Because working metal stiffens the wire, the mesh undergoes high-temperature annealing (exceeding 1,000°C for stainless steel).

Finishing Flexibility: After the final annealing, the mesh blanket is mechanically shaken out and rolled over hard rubber to restore complete, silky flexibility.

Edge Trimming: Edges are meticulously trimmed to eliminate any sharp burrs from cutting, ensuring a smooth feel.

Brazed Tubular Ends: German-made Staib bracelets feature solid, clean brazed tubular ends at the lugs, preventing fraying and providing a sturdier, cleaner transition to the watch.

Standard SOC strap

Made by Staib Ostasien Co., Hermann Staib’s manufacturing operation in Hong Kong. SOC combines Staib’s German design and quality standards with efficient Far East manufacturing, offering the same Staib expertise at a more accessible price.

Why does the satin finish cost more than the standard polished finish?

To achieve the exceptionally high standards expected of premium mesh bracelets, every bracelet is first polished to a flawless, high-gloss finish.

Creating a satin finish requires an additional process to carefully reduce the shine and produce a smooth, subtle, brushed appearance.

This extra finishing stage involves additional time and craftsmanship, which is reflected in the slightly higher price.
